Dynamic Results-Based Accountability Management Frameworks (RMAFs) for Canadian departments, agencies, and crown corporations

The GX Logic Modeler is the perfect instrument for federal government organizations responding to the performance reporting criteria established by the Treasury Board Secretariat. The design framework has been specifically developed with the RMAF, RBAF, and PAA in mind and is customized to unique organizational needs at installation.

  • Easily examine the complete logic model from beginning to end or zoom in on a specific sub-activity to get a more detailed sense of the process.
  • Colour-code single boxes, rows, or lines to highlight important paths or key elements
  • Drill down to the associated data of individual elements and gain valuable information with a simple double-click of the mouse.
  • Pull updated information from various data sources (beyond the GX line of applications) and roll it up along the established elements.
  • Restrict individual user's access to part of the model or grant access to the entire process as determined by administrative settings.
  • With a single push of a button, change the model's focus from RMAF to a PAA.

The logic model for the RMAF becomes a dynamic and evolving document with the GX Performance Logic Modeler. Information is accessible to many users through web services and removes the concerns about version control that come with a static document resting with several individuals. The GX Performance Logic Modeler is a finely tuned tool created to meet the distinctive requirements of the public sector.

A Logic Model's role in RMAF

The Treasury Board Secretariat's Results-based Management Accountability Framework (RMAF) has been implemented with the stated goal of efficiently collecting and monitoring relevant and accurate information as to the spending of federal government funding within departments, agencies, and crown corporations.

The logic model, by mapping the logical sequence of actions, outputs and results for policies, programs, and initiatives, is a key feature of the RMAF. It is essential in establishing a clear and logical design that connects resources to expected outcomes that is the hallmark of results-based management.

The GX Performance Framework Logic Modeler is the only product available that is geared specifically to addressing these needs.
